Faculty
- Scott Dawson [voice]
- Mr. Dawson has performed professionally with Fourth Avenue, an a cappella quartet, since 1993. Fourth Avenue has shared the stage with The Temptations, The Beach Boys, Styx, and Three Dog Night. He has also performed with The Human Race Theatre and Dayton Opera. Mr. Dawson has taught as a Voice Instructor for WSU's Theatre Arts Department and a vocal coach for Paramount's Kings Island. In addition, he has given voice training and coaching to clients of Johnny Wright, manager of Justin Timberlake, Boyz II Men and owner of Wire Records.
- Kate Dickey McEwen [voice]
- Ms. Dickey holds a master's degree in voice performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a bachelor's degree from Wright State University. She performs regularly with Dayton Opera, recently appearing as the First Spirit in The Magic Flute. Other credits include: The Merry Widow, Pirates of Penzance, and Camelot with Opera Columbus and several productions with La Comedia Dinner Theatre.
- Jennifer Rose [voice]
- Ms. Rose, a recent transplant from NYC, has performed with Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, Westchester Broadway Theatre, New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, and more. She toured with the USO and was seen at Madison Square Garden, Bob Hope's 100th Birthday on NBC's Today Show, NYSE, NASDAQ, NY Jets Meadowland Arena, and Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Jennifer is a graduate of Northwestern University and a member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA).
- Jamie Cordes [administrator; voice]
- Mr. Cordes (BM, MM) is a singing teacher in the Professional Acting Training Program in the Department of Theatre Arts, founder and administrator for the WSU Musical Theatre/Acting Preparatory Program, and co-founder of West Side Vocal Academy in Akron Ohio. He is a Resident Artist with The Human Race Theatre performing in Ordinary Days, Man of La Mancha, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Wait Until Dark and more. Performances with: Rockwell Productions, Seaside Music Theatre, Ohio Shakespeare, Virginia Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Ohio Light Opera, Dayton Opera, and The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. Mr. Cordes is a member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA) and is certified in Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method (Level I) from the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University.
- Susan Carlock [accompanist]
- Ms. Carlock (BME, MsEd) is an Adjunct Faculty Associate in Piano at Wright State University, and staff accompanist in the Theatre Arts Department (Musical Theatre) since 1997. Susan has served as Musical Director for WSU's productions of Carousel and Le Nozze di Figaro, MAPP Student Showcases and assistant director for Summer Sounds, a musical touring group. Susan holds memberships in the Ohio Music Educator’s Association, Ohio Music Teacher's Association, Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity, and Kappa Delta Pi Education Honorary Society.
- Amy Gray [accompanist; voice]
- Amy Gray is currently a staff accompanist in the Department of Theatre Arts, MAPP, and the Music Department at Wright State University. She earned a bachelor's degree in piano performance from Wright State in 2002 and is currently finishing a masters in choral conducting in the Department of Music at Wright State. She is the rehearsal accompanist for the Dayton Philharmonic Chorus rehearsals and soloist rehearsals. She is the Music Coordinator and organist at Peace Lutheran Church in Beavercreek, Ohio.
